About Me
ABOUT ME
I was born in Bolton and like many people, I've learnt life can be a struggle. It can be disappointing at times, it can be disheartening and sometimes life can make us feel isolated and alone.

life has also, taught me how to accept that circumstances good or bad is part of a journey, that in time can strengthen our resolve to be who we really are. We can learn not to let our past, or future define us but let our life experiences and the present, help us to grow and develop as the human we intended to be.

People have always been my inspiration and that is the reason I was drawn to this field of work -each person is unique and encounters different life experiences and circumstances. Overcoming some of my own challenges has helped me to appreciate the difficulties that many people face each day and this is why I have a deep desire to help other individuals who are seeking their path, to new beginnings.

I first came into counselling in 2000 of which I started my career in this field of work. Between then and 2008 I achieved level 2 & 3 in counselling skills and self awareness certification. While working in Secondary Education, this gave me the opportunity to counsel young people while studying for my counselling diploma. I continue to work with young people with a wide range of difficulties, relating to anxiety, depression, exam stress, family, self-harm and low self-esteem.
I achieved my Professional Counselling Level 4 Diploma in 2011 and have worked as a qualified therapist for an IAPT Bolton Counselling Service for the past seven years. My work covers a wide range of difficulties that clients experience, these include issues related to anxiety, depression, relationships, bereavement, low self-esteem, PTSD issues, identity issues, work issues, stress and self-harm.
